Tea Partiers -

We have been approached by the organizers of the Kaufman County Tea Party with a request to transfer a copy of the Kaufman County membership database to Ray Myers, one of the organizers of the group.

We are open to doing so if there is no opposition to the proposal.

We are first laying this question out for public comment and discussion, after which time we will take a vote of the Kaufman County members using online balloting.

Please share your thoughts on the proposal, pro or con, in the comments below.

Thank you.

I believe, in counties like Kaufman, that have a base of 60-65% Republicans, we need to work in the primary to establish the conservative candidate. The county wide vote will be for Republicans as long as they are conservative. But get a RINO in office as we have a few now, and people get disgruntled.
We want the ability to work hard and select candidates for all offices here plus in state offices, which are all Republican state wide. We want to be part of the Dallas tea party still but have the option to work in the primaries. Dallas can't do that because their Democrat.

The answer to your question is yes, give Ray the database for use to unite and keep Kaufman County Republican. We can uphold the integrity that the Dallas Tea Party has promised to the tea partiers who signed up as far as not sharing their info with other groups.

I want to know more specifics as to why a transfer is needed. How will my contact information be used? Is a typical request of other Tea Party members elsewhere?

I'm not opposed to having my contact information used for Tea Party purposes, but all I've seen is that someone wants to transfer my contact information with no explanation as to how that information is going to be used.

What will Ray be able to do with a database transfer that he cannot do now? I'm just looking for a little more information so I know exactly how my information will be used.

It's not necessarily a 'typical' request, but it's not the first time a group has requested it, either.

We haven't done anything like this before. This would be the first time.

As for how the information will be used, the Kaufman County Tea Party folks will need to address that themselves.

I support the transfer. We need to know who and where our members are. We will never share the info with 3rd parties.

Yes,I support the transfer. We need to get this party started.

There are many who don't want their contact information shared. This organization was set up as a bipartisan group. We have Democrat and Republican members. We are watch dogs not a part of the Republican Party.

I am on the Kaufman County Tea Party Steering Committee. I know Ray Myers very well. Ray has shown he is responsible and any one that doubts that needs to get to know Ray and his back ground.I have no problem with Ray receiving a copy of the Kaufman County membership database.I believe his first priority is our country and that is US. So he will protect our private information.

Ray's integrity is not the point.

Sounds like a good idea, lets do it

Ray already has my email. Go ahead and transfer the data base, but caution Ray not to send duplicate emails.

I support the transfer of the Kaufman Co. membership database to
Ray Myers of Kaufman County Tea Party. We could have better communications, if we had the email and other info for each member. I do not think there is
ifo in the database that labels the
memeber as Democrat or Republican, and we don't care, we just want responsible, conservative activist,
who are willing to be a part of the
Tea Party efforts.

Yes-yes-- I have no problem with it.

I support the move. This will only make our local community government more cohesive and does not stop information from the Dallas TEA Party.
by Brad Rich  2011-03-10 15:03:54
Yes, give Ray the db.

I say share the contact information of the people who say it's okay.

I support the transfere.
